- I am a Family Physician that was in solo clinical practice and I took care of patients in my office and in the hospital.
- I was a staff physician in a closed panel HMO.
- I was a Flight Surgeon in the US Air Force and deployed twice during the Gulf War
- I was a Medical Director in private insurance companies.
- I was a Medical Director for Medicare.
- I was a Medical Consultant for Social Security Disability.
- I worked as a Contractor to the Department of Defense for Veteran’s Disability ratings.
- I was a Medical Consultant for our State’s Vocational and Rehabilitation Services.
- I was a Medical Consultant for our State’s Division of Motor Vehicles.
- I was a Medical Consultant for our State’s Division of Public Health.
So, in the healthcare field, I have seen it all from the physician side, insurance company side, and government side. I have a unique understanding and experience of all the moving parts in our healthcare system. And I understand full well why our system is as it is.
